The goal of Havana South is to provide authentic Cuban food with no variations or twists. The menu boasts everything
from the traditional churasco to Cuban sandwiches, plantains and black beans with rice. Rey Diaz convinced his uncle, Rene
Diaz, to come out of retirement and move to Gwinnett to help him with the restaurant. Rene, known as "Tio" to most
customers, has been a chef for 45 years, has owned his own restaurant and was the head chef at a popular Miami Cuban restaurant.
He brings that background to Havana South with his popular dishes.
Entrees are primarily divided into five sections: carne (beef), lechon (pork), arroz (rice dishes), pollo (chicken) and mariscos
(seafood). The bistec palmilla, a grilled Cuban style steak and the chicharon de pollo hueso, or fried chicken chunks
with the bone, are customer favorites.
Havana South is now open on Sunday's and Mondays
Monday - Thursday
11-9 Friday - Saturday 11-10 Sunday 12-7

or it's your very first time, we'll always promise a great time out. All salsalovers, spectators, dancers, and especially
if you're new to salsa are welcome! Our goal is to provide the best "casino style" salsa instruction to anyone
at any skill level that is easy to learn. We teach traditional cuban casino style salsa that originated in Cuba and flourishes

We do teach you to feel the rythym down to your feet, give you a great source of excersise, impress your dance partner, instill
a new experience in all our students, and above all else have fun! Before you know it, you'll be on the dance floor with
all the confidence in the world as a "casinero". Wednesdays
